The Motley Fool today has an interesting story on college students and credit cards. More than two-thirds of students have credit cards and among those that do, the average senior has $2600 in debt, the average freshman, $1300. The columnist’s advice: “If you can’t pay off your balance every month, you’re probably better not having a card — or you should use it only in emergencies.”
